Unfortunately some of us couldn't make it so those of you who could please post up here and let us know how everything went and who ran what. Also who ran who. Don't forget to update your times on the Timeslip Database if you ran a personal best. :thumb

next time im comin out on some slicks.

seriously though i wish i woulda left my road huggers on cause the all seasons i used sucked the balls.

i got schooled by a 5.4l single cab F150.

i DIDNT run a 19 though. 18.6. i think i coulda done better with my regular tires on but they are getting worn and i didnt wanna wear them anymore. all in all it was good fun.

except for the fact that they had a traffic light for the tree. that was fucking retarded. but o well.

My night was a total loss due to an ailing clutch. I was however able to let the car cool off for an hour and got in a run with Tech2uned. It was dead even until he had to screw it all up by mis-shifting third gear. DAmn you Tech!!!

The best I pulled off was on that run with 13.8 at 103.XX. I was boosting 15 pounds. Tried to up it to 19 on the next run but the clutch just totally gave out and I triggered the lights with a 14.7 @ 101.17. That trap wasnt too bad considering the clutch slipped all thru 2nd and 3rd and I was feathering the gas in hopes to grab some clutch.

Next trip out I will have a new clutch, DSM Link, FMIC, and injectors. I should shatter this time for sure :D

Congrats on everyone that set new times last night. Ponch, if it makes you feel any better, my best was a 16.75 at 82 and I was boosting at 16 psi. Auto tranny so owns me. I think I have the record for the slowest 16g in houston.

It was great meeting up with you guys, even though I had to fall behind and miss the cruise due to overheating. Ended up overheating it three times and locking up the tranny on the way to the track. That's probably the reason for the slow time.

Ya, it was great. On my first run ever, I was really nervous, and put down my second best time, which was a 13.8 @ 105. My best was a 13.6 at 103. I was on race gas at 16 psi. I could have upped the boost, but I wanted to see how I could do with what most people have thier boost at, which is right under 17. Now I just need to figure out how I can improve my traction since ime a FWD. :own
And on that 13.6, my 60ft was a 2.283, damn that sux.

my best was 320 pictures with middle of the track @ all day long, and shooting with a canon rebel camera..

I hope to load them up soon on the computer, and then ill make a thread with all the good ones. im nervous as to what came out good and what did not. Los allready posted up all his pictures allready on H-I, and half of them look just like mine, and everyone is up on his nuts and complementing him, so ive kinda lost intrest in posting them just because everyone will say im coping him. but ill at least post them up for yall, since most was your cars and only your cars.

Maybe next time ill acctually run though.

Lot of fun watching you guys run. Almost made me want to put my Talon back together or something. Then I snapped back to reality, where the car is in lots of pieces and I have little to no time to work on it. I guess it'll get done when it gets done. :)

well i figured out and fixed my boost holding problem thanks to james92. Just needed to shim the actuator away from the comp housing to put more tension on the gate so it wouldn't blow open. So i can now hold 23 psi and all that goodness.

The track was having traction issues. i think i only had 2 good launches last night in the 1.7's, the rest were 1.8's to 2.2's. I missed 2nd twice, and the rest of the times my 1st was spinning off the line so i got bogged in 2nd.

all in all, it was a good night though, my final run was a 12.48 @ 111 which i didn't even realize that i ran until johnny came up and said congrats. I was like what for. He informed me and i checked the slip. This was on a mid 1.8 60' so i think it's time for suspension. Tired of spinning.

Car still has a lot of room left for tuning. figured out that the calc routine for my wideband wont let it read below a certian a/f, so i'm going to keep lowering the sliders until it picks it up. There's still a lot of power left to tap into from my a/f's.

When i was lining up for my FINAL run, my drivers side tie rod decided to go out. so its time to replace that

I think my fav run was against a cammed nasty sounding 5.0 that had a texas flag painted on it. We launched i missed 2nd (doh), and i was back up w/ him at the finish. I didn't win it, but it was a matter of feet.

That was one of the very few runs that I saw Andy, I was like OH SHIT, he's keeping up with that mean ass lookin 5.0!

same story for me.

slippery track + hot air + gripping clutch + slippery tires = 12.78 @ 112.3 mph

atleast most of the wheel hop is gone.

i got called out by robin as soon as we got there. we lined up to the new lights, and i was too busy admiring them, when i see robin launch. didn't even notice the fucking lights go green. lol. robin got me by 1 car length. he ran a 12.98 and i ran a 12.88 :womp . good run rob, you finally beat me.
now lets run pump on pump :lol

I thought you had a Canon 10d? Is it a digital Rebel or a 10d?

I have a 300d, which is a dig rebel. the 10d, or 1d, i forgot what it is, is the uber super camera that my dads friend got, thus why he gave me the 300d for free.

First pass in that blazing heat was a 12.8 then I broke my 2nd gear racing Andy afterwards. My time down the 1320 was short lived yesterday.

Good news is I shed 149 lbs on my weight reduction mod taking the spare, jack, passenger seat, rear seats and carpeting in the trunk out. I was weighing at 3,358 lbs when I ran 12.7 in May. I was hoping for 12.5 or 12.6 at 3,209 lbs on my sidemount. I had high expectations yesterday.

Congrats to Robin and Andy on their new best!!

Ponch
06-28-2005, 07:34 PM
I would assume it was you. I think it was just us two that had FWD and that ran. You got me beat by .2 in the quarter.

I am fitting the intercooler this evening so I am looking at taking that from you next time out. :)
