i heard i can use 2g pistons in a 6 bolt motor and that they are forged stock with 8:5 comp. is this true? i would need to bore it?

Most aftermarket pistons dont come in standard sizes. You will have to bore. 2g pistons are good for raising your compression but are no better than 1g when it comes to hp. For the average person 2g pistons will be fine. But if you want a reliable 400+ hp car go aftermarket.

If you're calling the dealer to buy pistons, you'll spend an arm and a leg, we can get you some aftermarket pistons, it will take a bit longer than ordering 20 over pistons because almost noone ever puts std size in their motor, it's just not really a good idea because std size cyls take a beating over time and most become too out of round to be used when doing a built motor. If you really want some though, we can get you some.

well it's no prob if i have to bore it, im pretty much just tryin to get back on the road so im kinda lookin cheap here. i work for a dealer and they can get me the pistons for $200 all 4. but if there is somethin better, im open to it. i just thought the piston for a 2g were all the same.
